Booking Tip #001

Booking Tip #001 | BandHacks

Practice makes perfect, and booking is no different.

Want to get more connections? Book a tour in an area you haven’t worked in yet. Give yourself the normal 3 to 4 months of time, but start reaching out and get those new connections.

Want to book bigger bands? Start approaching larger bands and learn to sell yourself well without lying or misleading people.

The key is not giving up. Take constructive criticism, but ignore comments that aren’t going to help you in any way. The best booking agents I know didn’t have some amazing secret or killer strategy behind what they did. They were simply personable, focused, and worked constantly to book bigger bands on bigger, longer, tours.

This has been the BandHacks Quick Tip on Booking for the week. Thanks for reading!
